Mumbai: The Crime Branch team of Mumbai Police has claimed to have busted the Fraud TRP Racket. Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh told a press conference on Thursday that after the complaint of BARC, the crime branch team came to know about the racket of fraudulent TRPs in the investigation. Parambir Singh said that TRP was being manipulated through this racket. Singh said that through this a fake agenda was being run.
Parambir Singh said that so far the name of three news channels has come out in this racket, which has two small Marathi news channels, one of which is Fakhat Marathi and Box Cinema, besides the name of Republic TV. Parambir Singh said that the owners of both these Marathi channels have been taken into custody on Thursday. He said that if any other news channel’s name comes up in this regard, action will be taken on that too.
This is how a racket used to work
The Mumbai Police Commissioner said that information was received that TRP is being managed by paying money, in which the name of a company named Hansa has also been revealed. Hansa Company looks after Bark. In such a situation, an employee of Hansa was arrested. Parambir Singh said that people were given 400 to 500 rupees per month and they were asked to keep running a particular channel whether they were in the house or not.
Parambir Singh said that the advertisers of these channels will be questioned. Republic TV’s bank account will be investigated, funds received from advertisers will be investigated, if something offensive happens, they can be frozen.

The police commissioner said that information about this fraud was given by Hansa, in which some of the former employees of Hansa and some current employees have received the bhagat.
On the question of calling the editor-in-chief of Republic TV Arnab Goswami for questioning, Parambir Singh said that whoever is involved in this fraud, no matter how high he is, he will be called for questioning and whatever further action will be taken.
