New Delhi: Tremors of a moderate earthquake were felt in the Kashmir Valley including Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) on Tuesday.
According to the Meteorological Department, the intensity of the earthquake that occurred at 13.33 pm was measured at 5.4 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was at Doda in Jammu and Kashmir at 33.15 north latitude and 75.82 east longitudes at a depth of six kilometers from the ground surface.
After the tremors were felt, there was panic at some places, and frightened people came out of their houses and went to open places.
There are currently no reports of any loss of life or property due to the earthquake.
