Saudi Arabia will release app for Mecca pilgrims

Dubai: Saudi Arabia on Wednesday suspended air flights from India, Brazil, and Argentina (India-Brazil-Argentina) in the wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic. According to the country’s Civil Aviation Authority, people traveling to these countries 14 days ago have been banned from entering the country. The Civil Aviation Department has excluded those who have official government invitations. The country’s news agency SPA reported in a report that after a seven-month hiatus due to coronavirus concerns, the Saudi Arabian government has allowed pilgrims to stay indoors for the Umrah pilgrimage beginning on October 4.

Last year 19 lakh people traveled to Umrah
Umrah is a pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina. Last year 19 lakh people had done this holy journey. However, only one thousand people traveled this year due to the corona virus epidemic. Saudi Arabia banned Umrah in March. Official figures show that Saudi Arabia earns approximately US $ 12 billion from Hajj and Umrah in a year.

Haji will be able to go to Mecca for Haj
The Saudi Arabian government has now decided to open it in several stages. During the first phase, only people from Saudi Arabia will be allowed to visit the mosque from October 4. The number of people coming in a day will be 6 thousand. The second phase will start on October 18. During the second phase also only the people of Saudi Arabia will get an entry into the mosque but during this time a total of 65 thousand people will be allowed to come to the mosque. In the third phase from November 1, people living outside Saudi Arabia will also be allowed to come for Umrah. During this, a total of 80 thousand people can be allowed to come here in a day.

At the same time, India comes second with 5,562,663 cases. So far 90,020 people have died due to the Corona epidemic in India.
