CBI registers corruption FIR against Sameer Wankhede, allegations of extorting 50 lakhs in Aryan Khan case

New Delhi: A case of corruption has come to light against Sameer Wankhede, a former officer of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai, who came into the limelight after the Aryan Khan drug case. In the CBI FIR, it has been alleged that Sameer Wankhede and others had demanded 25 crores in the Kodila Cruise Aryan Khan drugs case and took 50 lakhs as extortion. This case has been registered on the basis of fact-finding of the vigilance report of NCB. The search operation is going on at 20 locations which include locations in Mumbai, Ranchi, Kanpur, and Delhi.

According to CBI sources, an FIR has been registered against 5 people including Sameer Wankhede. Other officers of NCB are included in this. In this, the CBI has registered a case and started the investigation. The house located in the Goregaon (Mumbai) area of Sameer Wankhede has been searched. Sameer Wankhede, who was the Zonal Director of NCB Mumbai, was sent to Chennai DG Taxpayer Service Directorate. According to CBI sources, CBI may issue summons to Sameer Wankhede and others very soon, and Sameer Wankhede’s difficulties may increase in the coming times.

In the Aryan Khan case, Sameer Wankhede and his team had arrested Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and others in the drugs case and Aryan was jailed for a long time, after which Aryan Khan got bail during the vigilance investigation. Aryan Khan was given a clean chit by the NCB in the drugs case. In this case, the vigilance team had also recorded the statements of Sameer Wankhede and other officers, even during that time they were under suspicion.

Sameer Wankhede was removed from the investigation
Please tell that in the Aryan Khan case, Sameer Wankhede was later removed from the investigation and he was sent to his home cadre. The same investigating officer was sent back to CISF and two officers were also suspended. A Panch Kiran Gosavi, who had an important role in this case, was also arrested, whose statement was also recorded by the NCB Vigilance team in Pune jail.
