New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has recently unveiled its most powerful and most expensive motorcycle yet, the Mavrick 440. The bike is the result of a strategic partnership between Hero MotoCorp and the iconic American brand Harley-Davidson, which announced their collaboration in 2022.

The Mavrick 440 is priced at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the cheapest 400cc motorcycle available in the Indian market. The bike is expected to hit the roads from April 15, 2024, and the company is currently accepting bookings for Rs 5,000.

The Mavrick 440 is powered by a 440cc single-cylinder, BS-6, E20 oil-cooled engine, which is derived from the Harley Davidson X440. The engine produces 27 bhp of power and 38 NM of torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike also boasts of many premium features such as Bluetooth connectivity, connected features, smartphone integration, a turn-by-turn navigation system, and a digital instrument cluster. The bike also sports a full LED headlight, LED DRL, and turn indicator.

The Mavrick 440 is designed to appeal to the young and adventurous riders, who are looking for a stylish and powerful bike that can handle both city and highway rides. The bike has an attractive design with a muscular fuel tank, a low seat height, a wide handlebar, and a dual exhaust system. The bike is available in three colors: black, red, and silver.

The Mavrick 440 faces stiff competition from other 400cc bikes in the market, such as the Harley Davidson X440, KTM 390 Duke, Honda CB 350, Royal Enfield Bullet, Classic 350, Triumph Scrambler, and Speed 400. However, the Mavrick 440 has an edge over its rivals in terms of price, performance, and features.

The Mavrick 440 is the first product of the Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson partnership, which aims to develop and sell a range of premium motorcycles under the Harley-Davidson brand in India. The partnership also involves the distribution of Harley-Davidson parts, accessories, and merchandise through Hero MotoCorp’s extensive network of dealerships. The Mavrick 440 is being manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s Neemrana plant in Rajasthan, which has been upgraded to meet the global standards of Harley-Davidson.
