Presenting the budget today, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said

  • India’s economic growth is estimated at 9.2% in the current year, which is the highest among the major economies.
  • The Union Budget is the blue print of the next 25 years of the Amrit period.
  • During the next 3 years, 400 new generation Vande Bharat trains with better efficiency will be introduced. 100 PM Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals to be developed in the next 3 years.
  • Railways will create new products and efficient logistics service for small farmers and small and medium enterprises.
  • Chemical free natural farming will be promoted across the country with focus on farmers’ land in 5 km wide corridors along the banks of river Ganga.
  • PM e Vidya’s ‘One Class, One TV Channel’ program will be expanded from 12 to 200 TV channels. This will enable all the states to provide supplementary education in regional languages ​​from class 1 to 12.
  • Our government has extensively revamped the schemes like Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsalya, Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 of the Ministry of Women and Child Development to provide benefits.
  • To increase the convenience of citizens, e-passport will be issued in 2022-23.
  • The Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) will be extended till March 2023, increasing the guarantee cover from Rs 50,000 crore to a total of Rs 5 lakh crore.
  • In 2022-23, contracts will be awarded for eight ropeway projects of 60 km length.
  • Use of farmer drones for crop evaluation, digitization of land records, spraying of pesticides and nutrients will be promoted.
  • LIC’s IPO expected soon.
  • To reduce the delay in payment, an online billing system will be introduced and will be used by all the central ministries.
  • The Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) sector has immense potential to provide employment to the youth. An AVGC Promotion Task Force will be set up with all stakeholders to build our domestic capacity for market and global demand.
  • Digital currency will be introduced using blockchain and other technologies, RBI will issue it from 2022-23.
  • An additional allocation of Rs 19,500 crore will be made for the target of 280 GW of solar capacity by 2030.
  • The tax deduction limit for central and state government employees will be increased from 10% to 14% to help the social security benefits of state government employees and to bring them at par with the central government employees.
  • 48,000 crore has been allocated to complete the construction of 80 lakh houses under PM Awas Yojana in rural and urban areas in the year 2022-23.
