
New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp has launched the prime variant of the Destini 125 scooter in India. The company has launched this scooter at an ex-showroom price of Rs 71,499. At this price, the Destini 125 Prime is the cheapest 125cc scooter in the country. This scooter has been introduced in its old standard model in which basic features are available. However, no changes have been made to the engine.
Talking about Hero Destini 125 Prime, its design is quite simple from the Extec variant. The company has given a halogen headlight, a body-colored rear view mirror, a single-piece grab rail, and a single-tone seat. The Prime trim also lacks Bluetooth connectivity and a front mobile charging port. However, it gets an under-seat charging port, an under-seat lamp, an auto start/stop feature, and a semi-digital console.
The Hero Destini 125 Prime gets steel wheels as compared to the alloy wheels of the Xtec. 10-inch steel rims have been given in this scooter. The scooter gets telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock suspension at the rear. For braking, a drum brake setup has been given on both wheels with a combi brake feature.
The scooter is powered by a 124.6cc, air-cooled engine that generates maximum power of 9 Bhp and a peak torque of 10.36 Nm. The engine of the scooter is mated to a CVT gearbox. In addition to this, it weighs 115 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 5 liters. The new Hero Destini 125 Prime is available in two color options which include Pearl Silver White and Nexus Blue Nobel Red.

Let us tell you that the company offers the Destini 125 in two other variants along with the prime variant, which includes the LX and VX versions. Destiny 125 LX is priced at Rs 79,248 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and VX is priced at Rs 85,738 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Destini 125 Prime is Rs 7,749 cheaper than the LX variant and Rs 14,239 cheaper than the VX variant.
