Violence flares up again in Hooghly

Kolkata: Violence broke out again in Hooghly in West Bengal on Sunday when a procession was being taken out by Hindu organizations on the occasion of Ram Navami. BJP’s National Vice President Dilip Ghosh also participated in the procession. After the departure of Dilip Ghosh from the program, suddenly the incident of fighting between the two sects started. Because of the situation, a large number of police forces have been deployed at the spot. Earlier this week too, there was a clash between two groups during the Ram Navami procession in Bengal’s Howrah.

At the same time, BJP’s Dilip Ghosh has held the state government responsible for such incidents happening again. The party’s national vice president Dilip Ghosh said, “Stones were pelted at women and children during the Shobha Yatra. Even after the Howrah violence, the state government is not taking any action. Stones are being pelted and vehicles are being vandalized.
