Maharashtra: 10th and 12th board examinations postponed due to rising corona cases in the state

Mumbai: Uddhav Thackeray Government of Maharashtra has taken a big decision in view of the persistent uncontrolled Corona Virus in Maharashtra. Board exams of 10th and 12th have been postponed in the state. Announcing this, Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad said that, now the 10th and 12th board exams will be conducted in late June and late May. She has said that the 10th examinations will now be held in late June while the 12th board examinations will now be conducted in late May.

Let me tell you that earlier, in view of increasing cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra, Uddhav Government had decided to promote 9th and 11th students in the next class without taking the exam. That is, only the 10th and 12th board exams will be taken now. At the moment, the timetable for the board examination has not been released by the Education Department. It is expected that the exam timetable will be announced soon.

Significantly, School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad had earlier announced to promote students studying in class VIII to the next class without taking the exam.

The Corona case in Maharashtra is breaking records daily. Thousands of corona cases are being reported daily and hundreds of deaths are occurring across the state.
