Srinagar: Five Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were killed in two separate overnight encounters with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir. The police gave this information on Sunday. These encounters took place on Saturday night in the Pulwama and Budgam districts of the Kashmir Valley.

Four terrorists were killed in an encounter in the Naira area of ​​Pulwama in south Kashmir while one terrorist was killed in the Charar-e-Sharif area of ​​Budgam district in central Kashmir, a police official said. He told that the four terrorists killed in the encounter in Pulwama belonged to Jaish-e-Mohammed. Arms and ammunition have been recovered from the encounter site.

He said that a terrorist belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba was killed in the encounter at Charar-e-Sharif. Materials used in the crime including one AK 56 rifle have been recovered from the encounter site. Kashmir Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said that the killing of five terrorists, including Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Zahid Wani, is a big success for the security forces.

He tweeted, “Five terrorists of Pakistan-sponsored banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed were killed in two encounters in the last 12 hours. Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Zahid Wani and a Pakistan terrorist are among the dead. It’s a big success for us.”
