Karnataka assembly elections: Congress close to majority in trends, 110 seats ahead, BJP reduced to 71 seats

Bengaluru: Counting of votes for the Karnataka assembly elections is underway. The Election Commission has so far released trends for 209 out of 224 seats. In these trends, Congress seems to be inching closer to the majority mark of 113 and is leading in 110 constituencies. BJP is ahead in 71 and JD(S) in 23 assembly constituencies.
