Antigua: West Indies have announced their squad for the qualifiers round of the 2023 ODI World Cup to be played in India later this year. Shimran Hetmyer, who is making a splash in IPL 2023, has not got a place in this team.

The West Indies team has not been able to reach directly in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Because of this, now they will have to play in the first qualifier round. The qualifying round will be played in Zimbabwe from June 18.

All-rounder Keemo Paul has also been selected for this team. Keemo Paul has returned to the West Indies team after a long time. Apart from this, Nicholas Pooran, Romario Shepherd, Kyle Mayers, Alzarri Joseph, Akil Hussain, Rovman Powell, and Jason Holder are also part of this team playing in IPL 2023.

Qualifier matches will be played between 10 teams including West Indies and Sri Lanka. It is noteworthy that a total of 10 teams are playing in the qualifier round of the 2023 ODI World Cup. Teams from Ireland, Netherlands, UAE, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Scotland, Oman, Zimbabwe, West Indies, and the USA will participate in it. The qualifiers will be played in Zimbabwe from June 18.
