Russia has said that it has the right to retaliate. Now it is believed that Moscow can use this alleged incident in the ongoing war against Ukraine for the last 14 months.
Russia has said that President Vladimir Putin was not injured in the attack. There was no physical damage to the Kremlin building. Russia has considered this alleged attack as a well-planned terrorist act and an attempt to endanger the life of the President of the Russian Federation.

The Kremlin said in a statement, ‘Two unmanned devices were sent towards the Kremlin. Both devices have been disabled. The Kremlin said the Russian president was not at the compound at the time of the attempted drone strike.

A video is going viral on social media including Russia’s official TV channel Russia Today. It is being claimed that this video is of the attack on the Kremlin. However, News 18 does not make any claim regarding this video. It has been told in this viral video that after the attack, there was light smoke behind the Kremlin Palace. It is also being claimed that a drone has been shot down by Russia just above the dome of the President’s Palace.
Ban on drone
As soon as the news of the drone targeting Putin came out, the mayor of Moscow announced a ban on drone flights over the Russian capital. In a statement, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said drones would remain banned until special permission was obtained from government officials. He said the ban was to prevent unauthorized drone flights, which could hinder legal work. According to the TASS news agency, the Kremlin has said that the Victory Day parade on May 9 will be held in Moscow. It will not be stopped.
