New York: Eric Trump, the son of US President Donald Trump, answers questions from New York investigative officials regarding his family’s business.

New York’s Attorney General Letitia James’s office confirmed Monday that Eric appeared via video as scheduled. No information has been provided regarding how long it lasted or what type of questions Eric was asked. Eric appears at a time when his father is infected with the Corona Virus and is undergoing treatment.

James is seeking information in connection with an investigation into whether the Trump organization lied about the value of its assets to get the benefit of loans or taxes. A judge gave Eric until Wednesday to appear for testimony in connection with the investigation.

Earlier, the court rejected an attempt to delay the process until after the November 3 presidential election. Eric Trump’s lawyers abruptly canceled a July interview with investigators. James, then associated with the Democratic Party, requested a judicial order to summon.
