Deadly wave of Corona in Nepal, 14 districts declared Covid-19 ‘hotspot’

Kathmandu: Amid the second wave of epidemic in Nepal on Thursday, 14 districts including the Kathmandu Valley were declared Covid-19 ‘hotspots’. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the number of cases of Corona Virus infection in the country has reached 2,82,054 after 490 new cases of this epidemic have been reported in the last 24 hours. According to the ministry, 2,74,604 people have recovered so far and 3,066 patients have died. Accordingly, 3,588 samples were tested in the last 24 hours and so far 2,329,547 samples have been tested for this epidemic in the country.

Presently, 4,384 patients are being treated in different isolated centers of the country. Meanwhile, the Health Ministry said that Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kaski, Rupandehi, Chitwan, Banke, Parsa, Kailali, Morang, Dang, Surkhet, Bara and Baglung districts are more affected by the second wave of coronavirus.

The Ministry has declared these districts as Covid-19 ‘hotspots’ and students in these districts have been asked not to attend schools. People have been urged not to go to restaurants and clubs after seven in the evening.

They have been advised not to go to sports activities, gymnasiums, worship in temples, fairs, conferences, meetings, gatherings, theaters, shopping malls, party palaces, health clubs and swimming pools.
