Islamabad: Violent protests by PTI supporters have continued in different parts of the country since the arrest of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI) chief Imran Khan from the Islamabad High Court. Various provincial governments have sought the help of the army to improve the security system in order to overcome this violent protest that has been going on for more than 24 hours. However, after this, the anger of PTI supporters did not stop. In such a situation, now the buzz of declaring an emergency in the country has intensified.

Quoting reliable sources related to the Government of Pakistan, it has been learned that in view of the atmosphere of violence and anarchy in the country, a very important meeting is going on in the PM’s office. In, under Article 245 of the Constitution, the imposition of emergency is being considered to restore law and order across the country.

Article 245 of the Constitution of Pakistan mentions the special provision for the deployment of armed forces. According to this, the armed forces, when called upon, shall, on the instructions of the federal government, defend Pakistan against external aggression and assist the civil government in maintaining law and order.

It also provides that the validity of any direction issued by the Federal Government under clause (1) shall not be called into question in any court. Apart from this, during this time any matter related to the armed forces of Pakistan will be outside the jurisdiction of the High Court.
