New Delhi: Instagram is a popular photo, video sharing platform, and ever since the Reels feature started on it, it has become a favorite of people. People have been missing a feature on Instagram for a long time, and that is how to download the reel. If you are also among those who think so, then there is good news for you.
Instagram is finally giving its users the facility to download reels. However, this feature has currently been made available only for select users. Instagram chief Adam Mosseri has told in a recent message on his broadcast channel that Instagram users in the US can now download Reels directly to their devices.
“The ability to download reels shared by public accounts to the phone camera roll is being rolled out in the US,” Mosseri wrote. On a reel you like, just tap the share icon and select download. Please note that reels shared by personal accounts cannot be downloaded and public accounts can also turn off the ability for people to download their reels from account settings.

Mosseri explained how a user can download Instagram reels directly from the app to their camera roll. To do so, the user just needs to tap on the Share button and tap on Download.
However, no information has been given about whether there will be a watermark on the downloaded reels or not. But it has been hinted from the shared photo that an Instagram logo will appear along with the name of the account in the downloaded reel video.
However, the thing to note here is that at present this feature has not been made available for Indian users, so you will have to wait a bit.
