New Delhi: Despite a three-month hiatus from competitive cricket, Indian batting sensation Suryakumar Yadav has retained his crown at the pinnacle of the ICC T20 Batsmen’s Rankings. With a commendable 861 points, Yadav leads the chart, outpacing England’s Phil Salt who trails with 802 points. The Mumbai Indians’ star, set for a much-anticipated return in the upcoming IPL season, has been on the sidelines since December following a sports hernia surgery.

In the bowling department, Afghanistan’s seasoned spinner Rashid Khan has made a remarkable comeback, catapulting into the top ten of the bowlers’ rankings. His pivotal role in Afghanistan’s series win against Ireland, where he claimed eight wickets across three matches, has seen him leap from ninth to fourth place.

The rankings also witnessed movement among other players, with Afghanistan’s Naveen Ul Haq advancing to the 55th spot. Ireland’s Josh Little has climbed to the 39th position, Mark Adair to the 56th, and Barry McCarthy has made a significant jump to the 77th place. Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan continues his reign as the top T20 all-rounder, a testament to his enduring prowess in the format.
