New Delhi: Big news for Sundar Pichai fans, Google CEO Sundar Pichai has been awarded the Padma Bhushan. India’s ambassador to America Taranjit Singh Sandhu has given him this great honor on behalf of India. Please inform that, he has been given the Padma Bhushan for 2022 in the Trade and Industry category.

On being honored there, Pichai said – India is a part of me. I always take it with me wherever I go. In this regard, Sandhu said on Twitter that it was a great pleasure to hand over the Padma Bhushan to Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet in San Francisco. Sundar’s inspirational journey from Madurai to Mountain View strengthens India-US economic and technology ties and reaffirms Indian talent.

Here, after receiving India’s prestigious Padma Bhushan award, Sundar Pichai very emotionally said in his blog that he would like to thank Indian Ambassador Sandhu and for hosting him and giving him the Padma Bhushan. For this he is very grateful to the Government of India and the people of India and expresses his utmost respect towards them. Along with this, Sundar Pichai wrote that India is a part of him. He takes it with him wherever he goes.

Who is Sundar Pichai
Sundar Pichai, in full Pichai Sundararajan, (born June 10, 1972, Madras [now Chennai], Tamil Nadu, India), Indian-born American executive who was CEO of both Google, Inc. , and its holding company, Alphabet Inc.

Pichai joined Google in 2004 as the head of product management and development. He initially worked on the Google Toolbar, which enabled those using the Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox Web browsers to easily access the Google search engine. Over the next few years, he was directly involved in the development of Google’s own browser, Chrome, which was released to the public in 2008. That same year Pichai was named vice president of product development, and he began to take a more-active public role. By 2012 he was a senior vice president, and two years later he was made product chief over both Google and the Android smartphone operating system.
