Chhindwara: A tragic road accident took place on Tuesday involving the car of Union Minister Prahlad Patel, who is contesting the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh from Narsinghpur constituency. The minister was returning from Chhindwara after campaigning when his car collided with a bike that came from the wrong side on the Singodi bypass of Amarwada police station area. The accident resulted in the death of a child who was riding on the bike and the injury of three people, including Patel, who were traveling in the car.

According to the sources, Patel suffered a minor leg injury and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The other two injured persons were identified as Patel’s media advisor and his driver. The condition of the media advisor was said to be critical, while the driver was stable. The child who died on the spot was a 10-year-old boy, who was accompanied by his father on the bike. The father escaped with minor injuries and was also admitted to the hospital.

The police reached the spot and registered a case of the accident. The car of the minister was badly damaged in the collision and had to be towed away. The bike was also completely wrecked. The police said that they were investigating the cause of the accident and whether the bike rider was under the influence of alcohol or not.

He is contesting the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh from Narsinghpur, which is his home district. He is facing a tough challenge from the Congress candidate. The polling for the 230-seat assembly in Madhya Pradesh will be held on November 17.
