New Delhi: Government oil marketing companies have made a big increase in the prices of LPG cylinders (LPG Cylinder Price Hike) from today i.e. from March 1, 2022. The price of commercial LPG cylinders in Delhi has increased by Rs 105 to Rs 2,012 from today.

Oil companies said that the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has been increased by Rs 105. The new prices have come into effect from today. After this increase, there will be a load on the hotel-restaurant and it may also hit the customers. Companies had reduced the price of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 91.50 on 1 February.

Big hike in prices of small cylinders
Government oil companies have also increased the price of small LPG cylinders by 5 kg. Now 5 kg LPG Cylinder has become costlier by Rs 27 in Delhi. Customers will now get it for Rs 569. However, the companies have not made any change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders.

Subsidy amount also increased
The government has so far paid a huge amount as a subsidy in the first half of the current financial year (2021-22). Till the first half, the government has given a subsidy of about Rs 7,500 crore. In the financial year 20216-17, the government had given a subsidy of Rs 12,133 crore in the whole year. This figure is visible when more than one crore people have given up subsidies so far.
