Chandigarh: Following the complaint of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), the Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab has appointed Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar Senior Superintendent of Police (Sr SP SAS Nagar) as the Convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi. Has directed to register an FIR against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Shiromani Akali Dal had complained to the Chief Election Commissioner accusing Arvind Kejriwal of violating the model code of conduct. The SAD wrote in its complaint letter that Arvind Kejriwal has been making false and fabricated allegations against other parties and their leaders in his public meetings, which is a violation of the model code of conduct.

Taking cognizance of this complaint letter of SAD, the Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab has asked the SSP of SAS Nagar to register an FIR against Arvind Kejriwal. Let us tell you that the voting for the Punjab Assembly Election 2022 is to be held on 20 February. The election results will be declared on March 10.

The Shiromani Akali Dal had submitted a video to the Chief Electoral Authority, which purportedly has been sung as a song about the movement of a broom (AAP’s election symbol) this time in Punjab. The video uses pictures of Charanjit Singh Channi, Sukhbir Singh Badal, and former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to describe them as traitors. Regarding this video, the Chief Election Commissioner of Punjab has ordered to register an FIR against Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal.

Shiromani Akali Dal spokesperson Arshdeep Singh said that a party is contesting elections in Punjab, whose job is to mislead the public and tell lies. That party is also lying to the constitutional institutions. Aam Aadmi Party had released a video on social media. But he lied about this in front of the Election Commission. The Aam Aadmi Party had admitted its mistake in front of the Election Commission.

He further said, but the Aam Aadmi Party again released a video on social media, in which objectionable statements were made about the leaders of the opposition parties. The SAD spokesperson said Arvind Kejriwal had made serious allegations against our leader Vikram Singh Majithia. When the matter went to court, he apologies and survived. After this, he accepted the mistake in front of the Election Commission regarding the previous video. First accusing, then retracting, and then apologizing and escaping, will no longer work.
