New Delhi: Ola Electric is going to open the purchase window for its S1 electric scooter on September 1. The cheaper alternative to the brand’s flagship S1 Pro electric scooter was launched on August 15 at a starting price of ₹99,000 (ex-showroom). The electric scooter is built on the platform of the S1 Pro introduced last year, of which the company has already sold 70,000 units. The deliveries of the S1 will begin on September 7.

The Ola S1 electric scooter gets a 3kWh electric motor, which gives it a range of 141 km on a single charge. It comes with three different riding modes. In Eco mode, it gives a range of 128 km, while in normal mode it can be driven up to 101 km. In sports mode, it can run up to 90 km on a single charge. Its top speed can reach 90 kmph.

The scooter will come in 5 color options
The S1 electric scooter will get all software upgrades from the company, including MoveOS 3. The scooter will be made at the EV maker’s Future Factory, which is claimed to be the world’s largest two-wheeler factory. It will be made available in five different color options – Jet Black, Coral Glam, Liquid Silver, Porcelain White, and Neo Mint.

Very cool scooter design
As for its design, the Ola S1 looks similar to the other model Ola S1 Pro electric scooter. It gets LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a fully digital instrument cluster, and LED taillights. The scooter looks very cool to look at. Its looks and design attract people a lot.

Coming soon electric car
Ola Electric is also working on the country’s fastest electric car, which is set to be launched in 2024. The upcoming Ola electric car claims that it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in four seconds. It can be driven up to 500 km on a single charge. The car is expected to be a premium offering.
