New Delhi: Chandrayaan-3 has successfully left the Earth’s orbit and now its next stop is the Moon. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said that Chandrayaan-3 was placed in the Translunar Orbit on Tuesday. The National Space Agency said that ‘Chandrayaan-3 has completed its orbit around the Earth and is moving towards the Moon.’ ISRO told that ‘ISRO Telemetry, Tracking, and Command Network-ISTRAC has been a successful Perigee-firing was done. ISRO has placed Chandrayaan-3 in the translunar orbit. Chandrayaan’s next stop is now the Moon.

ISRO said that as soon as Chandrayaan-3 reaches the Moon, it is planned to be placed in the Moon’s orbit on 5 August. After Tuesday’s Trans-Lunar Injection (TLI), Chandrayaan-3 moved out of Earth’s orbit and is now moving on a path that will take it closer to the Moon. ISRO will try to soft land the lander on the lunar surface on 23 August. Earlier, after the launch of the Chandrayaan-3 mission on July 14, its orbit was increased five times continuously.

The successful launch of India’s third mission to the Moon, Chandrayaan-3, by an LVM-M4 rocket has given a major fillip to the country’s first program to take humans into space. This rocket will be used for the ambitious Gaganyaan mission. ISRO is working vigorously for the successful launch of its ambitious project Gaganyaan. Under this campaign, 3 people will be taken to the orbit of 400 kilometers of the earth for 3 days and then they will be brought back to the Earth safely. According to the scientists of Satish Dhawan Space Center, the 44.3 meters long LVM-3 rocket carrying Chandrayaan-3 on July 14 will be the rocket capable of ‘carrying humans safely into space’.
