Amid the Corona virus crisis, an argument given by a cleric of Pakistan to tackle the Covid-19 crisis is going viral on the Internet. In an undated clip, the cleric asks people to sleep as much as possible. The reasoning that he has given behind his advice, is getting dragged out on social media. In the video, the cleric can be heard saying that if he wants to avoid corona virus disease, sleep more and more.

The cleric can be heard saying in the video clip- our doctors always advise us to sleep more. The more we sleep, the more the virus sleeps. It will do us no harm. When we sleep, he sleeps, when we die, he dies. The footage was posted on Twitter by Pakistani journalist Nayla Inayat.

Following the advice of Maulvi, an Indian Twitter user, Mulgi commented – Why couldn’t he tell this science earlier … !! “Another user wrote – basically this virus will mimic our actions? It’s a Chinese There is a virus, so it will mimic. I hope people don’t commit suicide after hearing this amazing theory. Let us tell that the number of cases of corona infection in Pakistan has increased to one lakh 35 thousand 702 on Saturday. Of the total epidemic cases, 51,518 have been reported in Sindh, 50,087 in Punjab province, 17,450 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 7,866 in Balochistan, 7,163 in Islamabad, 1,044 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 574 in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

There are 820 hospitals in the country with COVID-19 treatment facilities and around 9,000 patients are admitted across the country. According to the country’s Ministry of Health, others are living in self-isolation in their homes. The government has closed around 1,300 hotspots including several areas in the capital Islamabad on Saturday due to the rapid spread of the deadly disease. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Medical Goods watchdog has approved the first indigenous made test kit for the corona virus.
