Chamoli: Bodies of four of the Navy’s mountaineers who were hit by an avalanche on Mount Trishul located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand have been recovered. There is a search for one. Earlier, a team of the Indian Air Force was continuously searching for the mountaineers. On Saturday morning itself, three bodies were seen buried in the snow. Earlier on Friday, the rescue operation was carried out only after the avalanche but had to be stopped due to deteriorating weather. Once again the operation was started on Saturday morning and the rescue team landed at the base camp at Homkund. After this, after the weather cleared a bit, a search operation was carried out by helicopter.

According to the information, due to deteriorating weather and darkness, the rescue operation has been stopped and it will be run once again on Sunday morning. The help of a scout guide is also being taken along with the helicopter team of the Air Force in search of a Navy mountaineer and a Sherpa.
