Lucknow: There are still six months left for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, but political parties have already started their preparations. In this sequence, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi announced on Sunday that his party would contest on 100 assembly seats.

Owaisi said, “We have decided to contest on 100 seats in the upcoming UP elections. The party has started the process of selection of candidates. We are in alliance with Sankalp Morcha partnered by Om Prakash Rajbhar and not with anyone else.”

It is to be known that yesterday there was news that Owaisi will enter the fray in the upcoming UP assembly elections in alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party. However, on these reports going on in the media, BSP supremo Mayawati declared to contest the elections on her own, saying that it is baseless.
