Lahore: An Indian national who crossed the border illegally to Pakistan in 2016 was sentenced to four years in prison on Wednesday by Border Security Force personnel at the Wagah Border. Handed over.

According to officials, Kundan Lal’s son Panwasi Lal reached Lahore Railway Station in August 2016 without proper travel documents from Samjhauta Express and was arrested there.

Initially, he told the police that his name is Mohammad Aslam and he is Pakistani. He also got Rs.500 from her. During interrogation, it was found out that his real name is Panwasi Lal and he was not mentally stable, officials said.

The matter was taken up with the Indian authorities on how he reached Lahore railway station without travel documents. He was later lodged in Lahore Central Jail for four years on charges of illegally crossing the border. On Wednesday, Punjab Rangers handed over BSF to Panwasi at Wagah border.
