Farmer leader SS Pandher (SS Pandher) has accused the government of insulting the farmers. He said, “The minister made us wait for three and a half hours. This is an insult to the farmers. In the meeting held today, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Railway, Commerce, and Food Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Commerce Som Prakash interacted with representatives of about 41 farmers associations in Vigyan Bhawan.

The Supreme Court had on 11 January stayed the implementation of the three agricultural laws till further orders and formed a four-member committee to remove the deadlock. At present, this committee has only three members because Bhupinder Singh Mann, president of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, disassociated himself from this committee.
