Sehore: On the very first day of the Shiv Mahapuran Katha and Rudraksh Distribution Festival by katha wachak Pandit Pradeep Mishra, a crowd of one million people gathered. The arrangements of the administration also proved insufficient to handle such a crowd. The Indore-Bhopal highway was blocked for 20 to 25 kilometers for several hours. The crowd was so much that it became difficult to manage. A woman fainted in the crowd and fell to her death. The name of the woman who died is being told as Mangal Bai, a resident of Maharashtra. More than two thousand people have fallen ill.

CM’s program canceled
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was also about to come to participate in the Shiv Mahapuran Katha. It was a program at 3:30 pm. His program has been canceled in view of the crowd and disorder. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath can visit Kubereshwar Dham on 18 February. Forty counters have been set up for Rudraksh distribution. The crowd is so much that people are taking Rudraksh from the counter by putting a line of two kilometers. Those who are shocked to see the crowd are raising slogans against Pradeep Mishra. To stop the crowd, barricades were put up with bamboos and bats, which are failing to stop the crowd. More than two lakh people reached here on Wednesday, a day before the program. In view of the increasing crowd of devotees, Rudraksha was started to be distributed to the devotees a day before at the venue. More than eight lakh people have reached on Thursday

Crowd everywhere from railway station to bus stand
There is a huge crowd of passengers from outside at Sehore railway station and bus stand. Auto rickshaw and bus drivers are also demanding exorbitant rates to reach Kubereshwar Dham. Trouble is also coming due to the jam. Thousands of passengers coming via Indore and Bhopal are still stranded. Maximum congestion is being seen at toll tax points, where vehicles are parked for several kilometres.
