New Delhi: Last year, Hyundai introduced its Venue SUV in the facelift avatar. Now the company has updated this popular SUV once again. Hyundai has also made some mechanical changes in the diesel version of its Venue SUV in this update. The new engine of the car is as powerful as the Creta SUV. Along with this, some features have also been upgraded and with these changes, there was an increase in the price of the car.
The starting price of the new Hyundai Venue has now gone up to Rs 7.68 lakh and the price of the top model has gone up to Rs 13.11 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
More powerful engine
The SUV gets a 1.5-liter diesel engine that generates 100 PS of power and 240 Nm of peak torque. However, now its performance has been increased to 116 PS and 250NM. You get the option of 6-speed manual transmission with this engine. The same 1.5-liter diesel engine used for both the Venue and the Creta is RDE compliant.
No change in the petrol engine
The Venue petrol engine remains the same and no changes have been made to it. The car gets a 1.2-liter Kappa petrol engine that makes 83 PS and 114 NM. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and there is also an option of a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine. It is capable of generating 120 PS and 172 Nm torque.
Which features changed?
The company is also offering side airbags with the N6 variant of the Venue N Line. Apart from this, safety features include electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability control, hill assist control (HAC), parking sensors and cameras, tire pressure monitoring system, and advanced features like automatic headlamps.
