Mumbai: South actor Dhanush on Monday announced his separation from filmmaker wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth after 18 years of marriage. Aishwarya and Dhanush, daughter of famous actor Rajinikanth, married in 2004 and have two sons – Yatra and Linga. Dhanush (38) and Aishwarya (40) announced their separation on their respective social media accounts.
In a note shared on Twitter, Dhanush said, “18 years of being together as friends, as a couple, as parents and as each other’s well-wishers. Today we stand at a place where our paths are different. Aishwarya and I have decided to part ways as a couple.”
“Please respect our decision and give us the necessary privacy to deal with it,” Dhanush said.
