New Delhi: India’s first CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat have merged into Panchtatva. Both were cremated at Berar Square Ghat in Delhi. Kritika and Tarini, both daughters of General Rawat, lit the fire.

General Rawat was given a final farewell with full military honors. The army gave a 17-gun salute to its top commander. Before this, when the body of General Rawat reached Berar Square in Delhi. There were a large number of all the big officers of the three armies and their families present. Everyone gave their last salute to General Rawat.

During this, High Commissioners of many countries, top army officers also paid their tributes to General Rawat. Along with this, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju, a former officer and MP Rajyavardhan Rathod, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also paid their tributes.

The public had come out on the streets to bid a last farewell to CDS Rawat. A large number of the general public were present outside General Rawat’s house. When the body of Bipin Rawat was taken to Berar Square, the public raised slogans of ‘Till the sun and moon remain, Bipin ji’s name will remain’. At the same time, a large number of people kept walking with them carrying the tricolor.
