Bhopal: In view of the uncontrolled corona infection in Madhya Pradesh, the government seems to be moving towards complete lockdown. Although the government has not issued any official orders, the way the district-wise lockdown is being done gradually indicates something in the direction of complete lockdown. The government announced a lockdown in Panna on Sunday, 15 April till 6 am, while in the districts of Mandla and Dewas, till 6 am on 19 April.

The government had imposed a 9-day lockdown in 11 districts 1 day earlier. This lockdown was imposed in Shajapur Chhindwara, Katni, Ratlam, Betul, Khargone, Seoni, Barwani, Rajgarh, Balaghat, Vidisha and Narsinghpur. The decision to close these districts completely was taken after the meeting of the disaster management committee and the cabinet members. The government has taken the decision of lockdown in the urban areas of Rau, Mhow, Shahjahanpur and Ujjain along with Indore by the morning of April 19. They were all scheduled to open at 6:00 am on April 12. In Barwani, Rajgarh, Vidisha district, the lockdown has been extended till the morning of April 19.

Corona infection is spreading rapidly in the state. There has been a tremendous increase in the number of Corona Active cases in the last 1 week. The number of active cases of corona in the state has reached beyond 32 thousand. The positivity rate in the state has increased to 12.1 percent. More than five thousand cases have increased in 1 week. Indore is the most infected in the state at number one, while Bhopal is at number two.
104 crores approved for fight with Corona

The government has sanctioned Rs 104 crore for the prevention of coronavirus in the state. In this context, each district will get an amount of two crores. With this amount, collectors will be able to make necessary arrangements to deal with coronavirus immediately.

State Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang said that continuous action is being taken on the suggestions of the Crisis Management Group. Also, the government has now decided that decisions will be taken according to the circumstances of the districts. The government has also handed over the charge of the districts to the ministers, who will work to monitor the arrangements in the coronavirus.
