Kanpur: There is news of the death of an elderly person in a fire in the ICU of Kanpur Cardiology Institute. According to the information, the elderly Tek Chandra (75 years) of Kariyari village of Hamirpur district has died of suffocation. However, the authorities are still refraining from speaking anything on it. Meanwhile, 140 patients admitted to the hospital have been safely evacuated. Critically ill patients are being admitted to Hallett Hospital.

On the other hand, taking cognizance of the fire, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the district administration to provide proper treatment to all the injured and present facts in this regard. Along with this, he has constituted a high-level committee of DG Fire Service and Principal Secretary Medical Health and Commissioner Kanpur to investigate the entire facts immediately. He has also instructed that in the past, instructions were given to strengthen the fire services in all the hospitals, to be re-examined in all the hospitals so that such an accident does not happen in any other hospital.

Please tell that the police and fire brigade department staff arrived on the information of fire in the hospital and took the patients out with the help of stairs. Currently, the fire has been controlled after a lot of hard work. All patients are safe. According to the patients, the fire was caused by the short circuit. Which spread rapidly throughout the ICU and other buildings as well. Police commissioner Aseem Arun said that a fire was reported at 7.55 am. After which the fire brigade and police team reached the spot and the fire was controlled. If any kind of negligence arises in this case then action will be taken after investigation.
