New Delhi: Today the weather is changing due to which there are chances of rain and hail in many states. This change in weather patterns is due to western disturbances. The effect of this disturbance is going to be from the plains states to the hill states and there is a possibility of snowfall in the hill states along with rain for the next three days.
Chances of rain in these plains states
Rainfall is likely to begin in Northwest India including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh from today. Tomorrow, on March 22, there is a possibility of increasing rains in Punjab. Light to moderate rains and thunderstorms are likely to occur over many parts of Delhi-NCR along with Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan on 22 March.
Snowfall in the hilly states with rain
According to weather information website Skymet, there is a possibility of heavy winds with light to moderate rains in the mountains and snow and plains, and thunderstorms are likely to fall till March 23. From 24 March, seasonal systems will weaken and seasonal disturbances will reduce significantly. Thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and Muzaffarabad will begin from the night of March 20 or from the morning of March 21 and gradually increase in rains over most parts of the Western Himalayan states.
Rainfall in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra as well
According to Skymet, the ongoing rain activity in central India will now reduce slightly. However, light to moderate rains may continue over parts of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Marathwada. Rainfall activities will increase again in central India from 22 and 23 March.
