New Delhi: Earlier today, the External Affairs Ministry (EAM) took a significant step by summoning a senior diplomat from the German Embassy to express its protest regarding comments made by the German foreign ministry concerning the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Germany’s issuance of an official statement on the matter prompted this action from India, signaling the gravity of the situation.
George Enzweiler, the Deputy Head of Mission of the German Embassy, was called upon by the MEA to formally register India’s discontent.
The External Affairs Ministry condemned the remarks made by the spokesperson of the German foreign ministry, terming them a “blatant interference in India’s internal matters.”

“India is a vibrant and robust democracy with the rule of law. As in all legal cases in the country, and elsewhere in the democratic world, law will take its course in the instant matter. Biased assumptions made on this account are most unwarranted,” India asserted in its reaction.
This development underscores the firm stance of the Indian government on maintaining the sanctity of its internal affairs and upholding its democratic principles.
