Kamakhya temple complex will open for devotees from Sunday

Kamakhya: Kamakhya is good news for the devotees of the temple. The temple gate will open from Sunday for the devotees of Kamakhya. However, devotees will now only be able to do circumambulation. The Garbhgrah will still remain closed. The premises of the temple will be open for devotees from eight in the morning till sunset. This information is given by the temple management committee.

Kamakhya Temple Management Committee has decided on Saturday that from October 11, the doors of the Kamakhya Temple complex will be opened for orbiting. Also, the devotees visiting the temple premises will have to strictly follow the instructions given by the government regarding Kovid-19.

The door of the temple will open from eight o’clock in the morning for the devotees to circumambulate the Kamakhya temple. However, the Garbhgrah will remain closed during this time. Devotees will be able to stay in the temple complex till sunset. This information was taken in the meeting of Kamakhya Temple Management Committee held on Saturday.

It has also been said that the temple complex will be open from eight in the morning on normal days. However, time can be changed during Navratri and Durga Puja. At the same time, devotees will have to undergo rapid antigen test in the camp set up by the health department located in the Kamakhya foothills, the entry point of the temple.

The devotees should report the rapid antigen test within three days. Also, after reaching the hill, devotees will get entry only after showing the report. After that, the devotees will have to get the admit card from the Annakshetra office located in front of the Chinnamasta i.e. Kameshwar temple. Only then will you be able to go towards the temple.

Devotees will be given thermal screening at the main gate. Also have to go through the sanitization chamber. All devotees have to follow social distance. Also it will be mandatory to wear face mask. A devotee will be given a maximum time of 15 minutes.
