Srinagar: Two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces here in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. police gave this information. He said that when the security forces were conducting a search operation in the area, the terrorists hiding there opened fire on them. The security forces retaliated, triggering an encounter. The official said that two terrorists have been killed in the encounter. Kashmir’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar said the terrorists belonged to ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF) affiliated to Lashkar-e-Taiba. One of the terrorists was involved in the killing of a head constable Ali Mohammad Ghani in Anantnag on January 29.

Kashmir’s IGP tweeted, “Two terrorists of terrorist organization Lashkar/TRF gunned down by Srinagar Police. Ikhlaq Hajam, one of the slain terrorists, was involved in the recent murder of head constable Ali Mohammad at Hasanpora in Anantnag. Kumar said incriminating material including two pistols have been recovered from the encounter site.
