Bhopal: The implementation of a complete lockdown of seven to nine days in five districts of Madhya Pradesh was announced on Thursday. The District Collectors of the concerned districts gave this information. At the same time, a nine-day lockdown will be imposed from 6 pm on Friday evening in the Kolar area of Bhopal city. Also, lockdown will be applicable for 60 hours in all the urban areas of the state except Damoh from 6 pm on Friday till 6 am on Monday and from 8 am onwards from 10 am to 6 am in all the urban areas. The five districts where there will be a complete lockdown of seven to nine days include Ratlam, Betul, Katni, Khargone, and Chhindwara districts.
According to the officials, in Ratlam and Betul districts, the lockdown of nine days will be implemented from 6 pm on April 9, while in Khargone and Katni districts, the lockdown of seven days will be imposed from 9 April to 9 pm and 6 pm respectively. Will go and the entire lockdown will be in Chhindwara district from 8 pm to 7 days on April 8.
Apart from this, the lockdown continues in the Shajapur city area of the Shajapur district from 8 pm on April 7, which will continue till 6 am on April 10. According to the order issued by the state government, till July 31, all the government offices in the state will be functioning five days a week from Monday to Friday. Office hours will be from 10 am to 6 pm. All government offices will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
“The state government issues orders for prevention and prevention of Covid-19 epidemic till April 30,” said the order issued on Thursday by Rajesh Rajaura, Additional Chief Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Home Department. The lockdown will remain in effect in all the urban areas of the state (except Damoh) from 6 pm Friday to 6 am Monday. Damoh will be decided by the District Election Officer. ” It is known that the assembly by-election is to be held on April 17 in Damoh. The order further said, “The nightly curfew will be applicable in all the urban areas of the state till April 30 daily from 10 am to 6 am on April 8.”
At the same time, according to the report received from Chhindwara, there will be a complete lockdown in Chhindwara district from 8 pm on April 8 for the next seven days. Meanwhile, Ratlam Collector Gopal Chand Dad told reporters on Thursday, “Despite being consistently explained by the district administration, most people are ignoring the rules of wearing masks and social distance.” As a result, corona infection in Ratlam continues to increase. In view of this situation, there will be a complete lockdown in the entire Ratlam district from 6 pm on Friday, April 19 to 6 am on Monday 19 April. ”
Dad said that the milk supply would be door-to-door during the lockdown period. Medical stores will be open. Vegetables will be supplied. “There will be a complete lockdown in Khargone district from 9 am to 6 pm on April 17 at 6 am,” said Khargone District Collector Anugraha P. Betul Collector Amanbir Singh Bais told reporters, “In view of the increasing cases of Corona, there will be a complete lockdown in the district from April 9 to 6 in the morning from April 19 to six in the Betul district.” Katni collector Priyank Mishra told the media, “There will be a complete lockdown in the district from 9 am to 6 pm on April 17 from 6 am in the district with respect to the growing patients of Corona.”
Bhopal Collector Avinash Lavaniya told reporters, “There will be complete lockdown in the Kolar area of Bhopal city from 9 am to 6 pm on 19 April.” The order issued by Additional Chief Secretary Rajesh Rajaura said that the activities which will be exempted from the ban in lockdown, the movement of goods and services from other states, drug and ration shops, hospitals, petrol pumps, banks and ATMs, milk and Vegetable shops are included.
In addition to the order, citizens/personnel traveling for vaccination, bus stand, railway station, airport commuters, ambulances, fire services and examinations, incoming and outgoing candidates, and workers associated with examination centers and examinations. And officers will be exempted from this ban.
Madhya Pradesh has recorded the highest number of 4,324 new cases of coronavirus infection on Thursday and 27 people have died. Together, 3,22,338 people have been affected by this epidemic, out of which 4,113 people have died so far.
