Mumbai: According to news agency ANI, a level 2 fire has been reported in the Andheri West area near Star Bazaar on Mumbai’s Link Road at around 4.30 pm. 10 fire tenders reached the spot. The fire reportedly broke out in a shop of 1000 sq ft area. No injuries have been reported so far. Mumbai Fire Brigade gave this information.

According to PTI, a fire broke out on the set of a film in suburban Andheri West on Friday afternoon. A fire broke out in a film set up at Chitrakoot Ground next to the Andheri Sports Complex at around 4.30 pm.

Earlier, officials had said that the fire had started in a shop in the area, but they later confirmed that it was on the sets of a film. Plumes of black smoke were seen rising from the spot. Three fire tenders have reached the spot and the work of extinguishing the fire is on, the official said. He said that there was no report of any injuries.

Due to the fire, the vehicular movement has been diverted from Veera Desai Road via Dattaji Salvi Road to IOC, Chitrakoot to IOC (Direct). At the same time, the road going from Fortyard to Chitrakoot North and South is closed.

Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and actress Shraddha Kapoor were to shoot a song there for the yet untitled film of Luv Ranjan. Actors Ranbir and Shraddha were not present on the sets at the time of the incident. A set of Rajshri Productions and the set of Luv Ranjan’s film have been burnt by this fire. Regarding this incident, Ashok Dubey, General Secretary, FWICE told that pre-lighting work was going on on the set. During this time this incident happened. In which an employee of a light vendor named Arjun, who was a lightman, was slightly injured. At present, fire engines and two water tankers have been deployed to control the situation.
