Suicide bomber attacked mosque in Somalia

Mogadishu: A suicide bomber attacked a mosque in the southern port city of Kismayo in Somalia after Friday prayers ended, killing two people. A Somali police official gave this information.

Sahal Noor told The Associated Press that the attacker carried out the blast near the gate of the mosque when people were leaving after Namaz. Six people were injured in the attack. A local official, Abdinasir Ali, said the attack appears to have targeted the head of the regional chamber of commerce.

He is also injured in that. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. However, al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab groups often carry out such attacks. Attacks on mosques are not common in Somalia.
