Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz’s troubles escalated, money laundering case reopened

Lahore: Anti Corruption Bodies of Pakistan (Pakistan) reopened the money laundering case against Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on Wednesday. He has issued summons to appear in March.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has accused 47-year-old Maryam of committing money laundering by investing huge sums of money as the main shareholder in the Chaudhary sugar mills.

The bureau said that in 1992-93 when Maryam’s father was the Prime Minister, he made money with the help of some foreigners. The NAB has directed Maryam to appear in the bureau’s office in Lahore on 26 March in this case.
