Moscow: A top official of Russia’s state-of-the-art arms exporter Rosoboronexport said on Thursday that the first consignment of state-of-the-art anti-aircraft missile systems (S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems) to hit India (India) was surface-to-air. The ‘Triumph’ missile system can destroy enemy aircraft, missiles and even drones from a distance of 400 kilometers. The agency said that Indian experts have arrived in Russia and started training on S-400 in January 2021.

It is noteworthy that in October 2018, India signed an agreement with Russia to buy five units of the S-400 air defense missile system for five billion dollars. India signed the deal despite former US President Donald Trump’s administration threatening a ban. India paid the first installment of $ 80 million in 2019 to purchase this missile system.
