India and UK join hands for new studies on Covid-19

London: India and Britain on Wednesday forged a new partnership to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fight against the coronavirus under the 10th India-UK Economic and Financial Dialogue (EFD) held digitally. Under this initiative, a joint study will be conducted on the South Asian population in India, focusing on understanding the seriousness of Covid-19.

The initiative will jointly finance 8million. The UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) of the Ministry of Science and Technology of India (DBT) said that their joint studies would support research that would help different ethnic groups in the two countries. But an attempt is being made to understand the impact of the epidemic.
