Famous author of detective novels ‘John le Carr’ passd away

London: John le Carre, the famous author of detective novels, passed away. He was 89. He gained fame with novels depicting the espionage world during the Cold War. He was born on 19 October 1931 in Pulle, southwest England. His name was David John Moore Cornwell but he became known as John le Carr. Le Carr’s literature agency Curtis Brown said Sunday that he died on Saturday in southwest England.

He was ill for some time. The agency stated that he was not infected with Covid-19. His family said that he died of pneumonia. Le Carr wrote novels such as ‘The Spy Who Came in from the Cold’, ‘Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy’ and ‘The Honorable Schoolboy’. Novelist Stephen King tweeted, “John Le Carr died at age 89. This year has been very sad. ” Writer Margaret Atwood said, “Very sad to hear that. His novels are instrumental in understanding the world of espionage of the 20th century. ” Le Carr worked for intelligence agencies ‘MI5’ and ‘MI6’ before joining the writing world.
