Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan will start in Indore tomorrow, representatives from 65 countries will come

Indore: The 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) convention is being organized from January 8 in Indore, the cleanest city in India. The conference assumes special significance as it is the first to be held after the Covid pandemic after four years. The 16th PBD conference was held in a virtual mode in the year 2021 in New Delhi. Indore was completely decorated for the conference. Preparations have been made to welcome the guests from the airport to the venue and hotel.

The Chief Guest of the PBD conference will be the President of Guyana, Dr. Mohamed Irfan Ali, and the President of the Republic of Suriname, Chandrikaprasad Santokhi, the Guest of Honour. Australian Member of Parliament Janetta Mascarenhas will be the guest of honor at the Youth Diaspora Conference on 8 January. The theme of the PBD is “Pravasi Amrit Kaal Trusted Partner for India’s Progress”, highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for building a self-reliant India over the next 25 years and the role to be played by the diaspora in achieving this vision of New India. Contains important participatory roles. The three-day program at the PBD conference includes Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, Inaugural Day, and Concluding Day as well as theme-based keynote sessions.

More than five hundred prominent industrialists will participate in the 7th Global Investors Summit to be held from 11 to 12 January. These included Aditya Birla Group’s Kumar Mangalam Birla, Adani Group’s Pranav Adani, Tata International’s Noel Tata, Bajaj Finserv CMD Sanjeev Bajaj, Godrej Industries CMD Nadir Godrej, ITC’s Sanjeev Puri, Kirloskar Brothers Limited’s Sanjay Kirloskar, Puneet Dalmiya and Ajay Piramal is included.

There will also be the participation of prominent industrialists from various sectors including pharma, IT, automobile, textile, chemical, cement, food processing, petrochemical, tourism, renewable energy, and services in the summit. 14 international trade organizations will also showcase different aspects of their countries. An investment of more than 55 thousand crores is expected in the summit. At the same time, 6 companies have given consent to invest about 10 thousand crore rupees. Four sessions will be held at the summit. In this, there will be two sessions of 90-90 minutes each on the opening day on the first day, while on the second day, the sessions will be of 60-60 minutes each. During this, 18 departments will give presentations about their sector. Industrialists and experts will also sign MoUs after discussing these sectors. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan himself will hold one-to-one discussions with about 300 industrialists with investment plans in Madhya Pradesh. At the summit, industrialists were given the option if they wish, they can have one-to-one discussions with the Chief Minister, any departmental minister of the state, or a chief secretary-level officer during the event. About four thousand investment proposals are expected to be approved in the two-day summit.

This is a three-day conference
First day January 8:– Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will be celebrated to connect with the young migrants. Which will be organized by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. On this day special opportunities being given by Madhya Pradesh in the economy, culture, tourism, and technology sectors will also be displayed.

Day 2 January 9:- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate a digital exhibition on the theme “The Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, Contribution of Diaspora in Indian Freedom Struggle” and release a commemorative postage stamp – “Go Safe, Go Trained”.

Day 3 January 10:– The convention will conclude with the speech of President Draupadi Murmu along with the presentation of the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award.
Migrants will arrive from 70 countries

The 17th PBD Convention has so far received an encouraging response from the expatriates. So far more than 3500 individuals from 70 countries have registered. Large expatriate delegations from countries including UAE, Mauritius, Qatar, Oman, USA, UK, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Malaysia will participate in the event. Ministerial-level delegations from countries including Mauritius, Malaysia, and Panama will participate.
