Health workers will get 50 lakh insurance by September

New Delhi: Coronavirus (corona pandemic) crisis is not taking its name, the number of patients and deaths is increasing with each changing day. So far, 4.25 lakh people have been infected with the disease in the country, in which case the government has extended the health insurance scheme for health workers for 3 more months. That is, for those connected with health services, the benefit of Rs 50 lakh insurance scheme (50 lakh rs health insurance) will be available by the end of September. The scheme will be implemented again from June 30.

It is to be noted here that the entire expenditure of this scheme is being borne by the Ministry of Health Welfare. Which is using the National Disaster Response Fund Fund.
22 lakh people will be benefited This announcement of the government will benefit 22 lakh people. Actually these are the people who come in direct contact with the corona patients. That is why the government announced this insurance scheme for medical staff in March. But keeping in view the situation, the scheme has been given an extension of 3 months.

Who will benefit? The insurance scheme will benefit doctors, nurses, medical staff, sanitation workers and some others working in central and state government hospitals.
The government announced the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (pm garib kalyan yojana) during the first installment of the relief package in March for the medical staff. This insurance scheme was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman (finance minister nirmala sithraman) under the Prime Minister’s Poor Welfare Package worth a total of 1.70 lakh crore rupees in March.
