New Delhi: Five states of the country have a 62 percent caseload of active cases of Coronavirus, with Maharashtra having the highest number of cases. The Health Ministry gave this information in a press conference on Thursday. OSD Rajesh Bhushan of the Ministry of Health said on Thursday that the country in Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra in the country. More than 62 percent of the cases are active. He said that in Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra only 70 percent cases of deaths due to corona have been reported in the country.

Rajesh Bhushan said that although there are 62 percent cases in the country in five states, but there has been a decrease in active cases in these states last week. A decrease in active cases has been seen in 13.7 percent in Andhra Pradesh, 16.1 percent in Karnataka, 6.8 percent in Maharashtra, 23.9 percent in Tamil Nadu and 17.1 percent in Uttar Pradesh. Bhushan further said that Andhra Pradesh has seen a decrease of 4.5 percent in deaths from corona in the past week, 11.5 percent in Maharashtra, 18.2 percent in Tamil Nadu.

Rajesh Bhushan told that an increase in deaths from Corona has been recorded in Karnataka and Delhi. Whereas in Delhi there has been an increase in 50 percent deaths according to the daily average, in Karnataka it has increased by 9.6 percent.

7% reduction in active cases in Maharashtra
Regarding the situation in Maharashtra, the OSD of the Ministry of Health said that the number of active cases in Maharashtra has seen a decrease of up to 7 percent in the last three weeks.

Regarding the cases of corona virus increasing every day, Rajesh Bhushan said that cases are increasing daily but we should look at it on the basis of total population. The government has adopted a graded approach to open the economy. Along with this, testing rates have also been increased and clear guidelines have been made for clinical treatment protocol.

Fewer cases per million population
Rajesh Bhushan said that if compared to other countries of the world, India has fewer cases per 10 lakh population. Deaths per million are the lowest in the world. There are 49 deaths per million people in the country.

Significantly, the total number of infected in the country has crossed 38 lakhs on Thursday after the highest number of 83,883 new cases reported in one day of Covid-19 in India. At the same time, the rate of people recovering from the recovery of 29,70,492 patients has crossed 77 percent.

According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am, cases of Covid-19 in the country have increased to 38,53,406. At the same time, after 1,043 people died in the last 24 hours, the death toll rose to 67,376.
