New Delhi: The pace of Coronavirus infection in the country is making new records every day. The figure of the infected has crossed 20 lakhs. On Thursday, a record 62 thousand 538 patients increased. 886 people died in one day. So far, 20 lakh 27 thousand 74 confirmed cases of Corona have taken place in the country. 10 lakh cases have increased in just 21 days. The recovery rate of those recovering from corona in the country is 67.61%.
According to the Ministry of Health data, there are now 6 lakh 07 thousand 384 active cases of corona in the country. So far, 41 thousand 585 patients have died due to corona epidemic. At the same time, 13 lakh 78 thousand 105 people have recovered and a foreigner has returned. The ministry said that the death rate has come down to 2.07 percent.
Patients are growing at a rate of 2.4% in India
Patients are increasing at a rate of 2.4% in India. In the last 7 days (29 July – 7 August), 3.79 lakh patients came to India. 3.76 lakhs were infected in the US and 3.07 lakhs in Brazil. The daily rate of increasing new patients is 1% in the US and 1.6% in Brazil. That is, the rate of increase in patients in these three countries with the highest number of patients is also the highest in India.
On Thursday, the maximum number of 11 thousand 514 were found in Maharashtra and 10 thousand 328 in Andhra Pradesh. The total number of infected in the state increased to more than 67,000 on Thursday after 1,034 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Gujarat in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 27 more patients died of infection.
910 new cases in Mumbai, 6645 deaths so far
On the other hand, with the arrival of 910 new cases in Mumbai, the number of corona virus infection cases increased to 1,20,165 on Thursday. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that 57 more people died due to corona virus infection in Mumbai, taking the death toll to 6,645. The civic body said that 988 more patients of Covid-19 went away from hospitals to their homes. With this, the total number of cured patients in the metropolis has increased to 92,661. It said that in Mumbai, the cure rate of Covid-19 patients is 77 percent and 20,562 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
2,954 new cases a day in Bengal
In West Bengal on Thursday, 2,954 new cases were reported in a day of Covid-19, taking the total number of infected people in the state to 86,854. Since Wednesday evening, around 56 people died of infection, causing the death toll to rise to 1,902. The health department said in its bulletin that 27 out of 56 dead are from Kolkata. In the last 24 hours, 2,061 people have been discharged from various hospitals. It was told in the bulletin that since Wednesday, about 25,224 samples have been tested in the state.
How much testing done so far?
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 2,27,24,134 corona samples have been examined till August 6 across the country. Whereas 5,74,783 samples have been examined within the last 24 hours.
